Privacy Policy

This policy explains how No. 1 App Company ("Persistent Compute," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our apps, website, and computing service (together, the "Service").

For personal information in your account, Persistent Compute is the controller. When a company provides Persistent Compute to its team, that company controls the data in its workspace, and we process it on the company's behalf.

Information you give us: your name, email address, and sign-in provider; your company and team details if you use Persistent Compute with your company; and anything you send us, such as support requests.

Billing information: our payment processor collects your card details directly. We receive only limited details, such as your card type, last four digits, and billing address.

Service and device information: your laptop's model, operating system, and app version; how much computing power, memory, and storage you use and when; which features you use; which coding agents you use in Persistent Compute sessions and for how long, recorded only as broad categories such as Claude Code or Codex, never the commands you type; connection status; and crash reports. We keep these records to bounded, structured fields.

Website information: pages you visit, your browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

Your files, code, terminal sessions, and the work your agents do ("Your Content") pass through and are stored on the Service so it can run for you. We don't read Your Content, analyze it for advertising, or record it in our operational logs, and we don't use it to train AI models.

We access Your Content only when you ask us to, such as for a support request, or when the law requires it.

If you connect an account such as GitHub, we store the access it grants in encrypted form and use it only for the actions you allow. You can disconnect it at any time, and we'll delete the stored access.

We use personal information to: provide, run, and secure the Service; size and scale computing power for your work; bill you; respond to support requests; send service messages, such as receipts and security alerts; understand and improve how the Service performs; and prevent fraud and abuse.

With your permission, we may also send product updates and marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share it only with: service providers who help us run Persistent Compute, such as cloud hosting, networking, sign-in, payment processing, email, and AI inference for our setup assistant, under contracts that limit their use of it; your company, if you use Persistent Compute through a Team or Enterprise plan; a buyer or successor if Persistent Compute is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; and authorities, when the law requires or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and others.

We may also share aggregated information about how the Service is used, such as overall usage and performance trends, that doesn't identify you.

Our website uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use analytics only with your consent where the law requires it, and you can change your choice at any time.

We keep account information for as long as your account is open. Unless you ask us to delete your account, you have 30 days after your account ends to export Your Content, and we then delete it from our active systems, except where the law requires us to keep it. We delete other personal information within 90 days, except where we need to keep it longer for legal, tax, security, or dispute reasons.

We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and audited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll notify you without undue delay if a breach affects your personal information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. You can do most of this from your account settings, or by emailing us.

To request deletion of your account and its data, email privacy@persistentcompute.ai from the address on your account. Persistent Compute staff then delete the account for you. Once processed, deletion is permanent: there is no export period and no refund, your personal subscription and the subscription of any self-serve team you are the only member of are canceled, and your cloud computer, devices, access tokens, and sign-in are removed. We keep some records after deletion, including billing, payment, and audit records, security logs, and records of your setup conversations and chat activity, for legal, billing, and security reasons.

We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Persistent Compute is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process information in other countries. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Persistent Compute isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
